The Sourdough Candle is here to turn that imagination into a reality. Crafted with the finest non-toxic ingredients, our candle promises an aromatic experience that is both delightful and soothing.
This candle began as an April Fools' joke that took an unexpected turn. Initially a prank, it quickly garnered numerous requests for the real thing. Recognizing the demand, we decided to bring it to life. Now, we're thrilled to include this unique scent in our collection!
Regrettably, there is no true essential oil that captures the scent of sourdough or baked bread without added fragrance. Recreating scents that don't naturally exist as essential oils is challenging, yet we often receive such requests. Using only plant-based oils, our candles are crafted for those with fragrance sensitivities, and who want the comfort of complete ingredient transparency. If you are looking for a scent that smells exactly like sourdough, we would steer you to a fragrance-based candle.
Once we felt like we had the sourdough scent mastered as close as possible, we wanted to send a sample to a true sourdough expert. We reached out to Courtney Moody of @actsofsourdough who put our scent to the test.
Initially skeptical of candles because her child has asthma, Courtney was hesitant to introduce a candle into her home. We understand the hesitation, but were beyond thrilled when she reached out and said not only did she love the smell of the candle, but it did not irritate her child's breathing.
We are so excited to bring to you the Acts of Sourdough Collab Candle! Courtney's mission is to make sourdough less scary with easy, approachable recipes. She truly has become our "bread bestie" and we are so excited to partner with her to bring you this candle!
This stunning candle comes in an eye-catching iridescent taupe glass vessel that will be the perfect decor piece for your kitchen. Add some ambiance as you begin your sourdough journey!
Glow & Grow Wildflowers:
Once your candle has fully burned, clean the jar for reuse. Plant the seeded dust cover in soil, water it daily, and watch as your wildflower garden flourishes.

Domestic Shipping within the USA
Standard shipping is free when you spend $50 or more.
If your order is under $50, the standard shipping fee will be $5 (3-5 business days)
Shipping to Canada
Standard shipping is free when you spend $140 CAD or more.
If your order is under $140 CAD, the standard shipping fee will be $15 USD (6-10 business days)

When will my order ship?
We’ve been receiving a high volume of orders and our products are handcrafted, so processing time takes at least 3 to 5 business days. You’ll get a shipment notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package ships.

Where do we ship?
We currently ship across the US (all 50 states). You may experience longer delivery times when shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico

Please note that any additional duties and taxes incurred at customs are not included in our shipping cost and are the responsibility of the customer.
Can I track the shipment of my order?
Yes - once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email providing all necessary tracking information for your package.

I'm having problems with the tracking.
Sorry about that! In a few cases, the carrier takes 1-2 business days to register your shipment status. If your tracking number isn’t updating or working at all, please reach out to us as soon as you can via hello@subtleartstudios.com. We can give you the inside info.
RETURNS & EXCHANGE
What should I do if I receive the wrong product?
If you received a product different from the one that you ordered, sorry about that! Please contact us at hello@subtleartstudios.com and we’ll be sure to get you the products you ordered!
How do I place a return or exchange?
We're sorry you didn't love your items. Please reach out to hello@subtleartstudios.com with your order number and the products you'd like to exchange or return, and we'll give you an instruction.
What’s your return policy?
We allow returns or exchanges for new, unused products within 7 days (after arrival date).
For return, your refund will be minus the shipping cost.
For exchange, you will be responsible for the re-shipping fee.
How long does it take to process a return?
Credit card refunds usually take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
